Funeral Director's Apprentice
Zach was born and raised in Rigby, Idaho. As a young man, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 10 years, starting as a Cub Scout and finishing as an Eagle Scout. At a young age, Zach developed a passion for service and helping others. He began his working career at age 14, working at his parent's auto parts and hardware store. He graduated with honors from Rigby High School in 2000, serving on the newspaper staff, yearbook staff as the yearbook editor and on the student council.
Starting in 2000, Zach studied Secondary Education and English Literature at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. He became a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, was on the College of Education Dean's List for 4 semesters and graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Secondary Education & English in 2005
Zach relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC in the winter of 2005 and worked in Human Resources, Corporate Training and Technical Support for Scotchman Convenience Stores for 10 years. After leaving the convenience store industry, Zach was hired at Grand Strand Funeral Home and shortly thereafter became a Funeral Director's Apprentice.
Zach is happily married and is the proud step-father of a son, Austin. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, watching movies and TV series and reading.
